Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God's...You will not need to fight this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.~2Chronicles 20:15b, 17Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah fell down in worship before the Lord. The next morning they went out singing to the Lord. As they sang, the Lord set an ambush against their enemies and caused them to destroy one another. All that was left for the people of Judah to do was collect the spoil. Their God had done all He said He would do!
What battles are on your horizon today? Are you stuck not knowing what to do? Will you seek the Lord? Should you fast? Are you willing to let the Lord fight the battle for you? I confess, friend, that this is where I often fail. I can be very quick to jump right into the battle and try to fight it all by myself with my tongue. Why not go ahead right now and confess to the Lord that you do not know what to do? Then, set your eyes on your Lord and watch for his deliverance.
One of my favorite passages ... God put the choir on the front line! yikes! GO CHOIR!
