Hebrews 4:15-16 (NIV)
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Let's face it...the fact is: There are times as we travel along on life's highway that we are broadsided from seemingly out-of-nowhere. Never saw it coming. Not prepared. Not dead, but possibly injured. Some unexpected reality has been forced upon us. This was not on the radar. In that moment when our earthly/fleshly confidence has been shattered, what a blessing to know we have a High Priest who understands. We can approach His throne with confidence. The throne room is always open to His children. He is accessible. Inside, we will find mercy and grace to help us whatever our need. I needed to be reminded of this truth today. Did you?
